Your Life Is Our Mission.
Dear Valued Supporter,
Thank you for your unwavering support. For over 60 years, SLA has been a cornerstone of emergency care in Averill Park, Sand Lake, West Sand Lake, and Taborton. As an independent nonprofit, we operate 24/7, funded partly by the Town—but it’s your generosity that truly makes a difference.
Impact of Your Generosity
Your donations equip our Advanced and Basic Life Support teams with lifesaving tools like cardiac monitors and Lucas CPR devices for rapid, effective care, when every second matters. We’re currently upgrading our ALS equipment to enhance our response capabilities even further.
Challenges and Adaptations
The pandemic and rising drug-related emergencies have tested our resilience. With fewer volunteers, we’ve added paid staff, including a full-time operations manager, to ensure round-the-clock readiness.
Community Engagement: The Lifeline of SLA
Beyond emergency response, we provide CPR training for students, businesses, and government employees, offer free blood pressure screenings, and maintain a presence at community events for immediate on-site assistance.
Your continued support keeps our community safe. Together, we can sustain and strengthen this critical service.
"This is a fantastic group of dedicated, professional and compassionate people that the Sand Lake (and surrounding areas) are so Blessed to call our own. THANK YOU for ALL you do!"
